Ethylene glycol

Characteristics
Ethylene glycol is obtained in the reaction of ethylene oxide hydration followed by purification in the rectification process. MEG produced at PKN Orlen shows high degree of purity (99.9%) and has the quality parameters meeting the requirements of fibres manufacturers. 

Applications
As a reagent in production of polyesters (fibres and packaging plastics – PET); low-freezing fluids (for cooling systems in combustion engines, in air conditioning units); polyester resins, as an industrial solvent.
