Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN S.A. ("PKN ORLEN") hereby announces that on 9 February 2010 it received a notice with information that Aviva Otwarty Fundusz Emerytalny Aviva BZ WBK („Fund”), through the purchase of PKN ORLEN shares, which were settled on 5 February 2010, became a holder of PKN ORLEN shares, which constitute over 5% of the total votes at the PKN ORLEN general meeting.

Before the purchase of PKN ORLEN shares, Fund held 21 379 261 of PKN ORLEN shares,  which constituted 4,99% of registered capital of PKN ORLEN and assured to 21 379 261 of votes at the general meeting, what constituted 4,99% of the total votes.

On 5 February 2010 Fund was a holder of 21 744 036 PKN ORLEN shares, which constitute 5,08% of registered capital of PKN ORLEN. The shares of PKN ORLEN, which are owned by Fund, entitle to 21 744 036 votes on PKN ORLEN general meeting, what constitute 5,08% of the total votes.
