PKN ORLEN - International Knowledge and Practice
3 December 2004 - PKN ORLEN and ORLEN Deutschland have today entered into an agreement with Europa Universitat Viadrina Frankfurt /Oder (Germany) on a student apprenticeship in one of the two companies. The Agreement was signed in PKN ORLEN’s Warsaw office by Gesine Schwan, Vice-Chancellor of the Europa Universitat Viadrina Frankfurt/Oder, Andrzej Macenowicz, Vice-President of PKN ORLEN and Michal Jonczynski, Board Member of ORLEN Deutschland. Today’s event has also hosted Andrzej Byrt, the Ambasador of the Republic of Poland to Germany.
During the next two years PKN ORLEN and ORLEN Deutschland will offer students in their fourth and fifth year the opportunity to complete a 6 – 8 weeks’ apprenticeship in various offices across the companies. At PKN ORLEN, students will get the chance to familiarize themselves with a number of key departments, including: Accounting; Strategy; M&A; the Investor Relations Office; Finance; Production Assets Optimization; and the Legal Office.
To apply for an apprenticeship at PKN ORLEN or ORLEN Deutschland, students will have to meet certain criteria set by the Company. These will include, among others, a student’s aptitude for Polish or other foreign languages.
