Automated External Defibrillators at ORLEN stations

ORLEN Dar Serca Foundation has completed the second stage of its ORLEN First Aid campaign, aimed at providing selected ORLEN stations with automated external defibrillators. The devices are simple-to-use emergency aids that can be operated by any bystander at an accident.

During the first stage of the campaign, which started at the beginning of December 2003, 130 people from 27 selected outlets were trained in first aid procedure. In addition, the ORLEN outlets were equipped with first aid kits.

At the second stage, implemented at the end of May 2004, ORLEN Dar Serca Foundation equipped 9 stations at prime locations with automated external defibrillators and another group of 34 people were trained on the aids’ use.

ORLEN’s First Aid campaign at 360 filling stations also offer free brochures on first aid principles.
