Customers of the PKN ORLEN network will be able to obtain cash back (up to PLN200 ) using their debit card when filling up and shopping at the PKN ORLEN petrol stations. This transaction is rendered possible thanks to the introduction of an innovative cashback service available at all the petrol stations of the Company.

The pilot program proved that this service is very popular among the clients which can be seen in the number of transactions concluded in the month of June amounting to more than 1500, with an average cashback amount of PLN 95.

„PKN ORLEN is continuously trying to improve its offer. The cashback service is yet another convenience offered to our customers who value comfort, time saving and, most of all, transaction safety”, explained Marek Podstawa, Executive Director for Retail Sales at PKN ORLEN. „Our hitherto experience proves that interest in this sort of services will rise. I would like to mention that it is already possible to pay with Euro at our stations while soon another financial service will be added based on innovative technology”, he added.

The pilot of the cashback service was initiated in Q1 of 2010 and was extended to 150 ORLEN and Bliska brand petrol stations. At present, this transaction is offered at 1335 petrol stations owned by the Company, including 734 stations under the ORLEN brand and 316 stations from the economy brand Bliska.

The service is available to users of the two most popular charge cards in Poland, namely Visa and MasterCard. Implementation of the service at franchise stations belonging to the PKN ORLEN network will be possible once the cash register software is modified at those petrol stations, which is planned for the upcoming months.
