PKN Orlen has started the process of gathering information on potential building contractors for the construction of a thermal power station in Włocławek. As of today, the Company is inviting potential contractors to confirm their intention to participate in the tender for the construction’s general contractor. It is predicted that the power station will be started during the first half of 2014.

The power unit is expected to generate 400-500MW.

The contractor selected through the tender process, which will be announced in mid-September this year, will be commissioned to execute the turnkey solution.

The expected timetable for the construction assumes that work will begin during the 3rd quarter 2011 and the power station will be handed over for use during the first half of 2014.
