PKN ORLEN improves its ranking in the FORBES 2000
PKN ORLEN has been ranked 55th in the Oil & Gas category of the prestigious FORBES 2000, which classifies the world’s 2000 biggest companies. Over the last two years PKN ORLEN has improved its position in the general standings by 352 positions.
The Forbes 2000 ranking is a comprehensive list of the world's largest and most powerful public companies, and is also a unique tool for measuring corporate size by sales, profits, assets and market value.
The latest ranking includes three Polish companies, of which PKN ORLEN stands the highest (721), followed by PKO BP (800) and KGHM (1,579). In comparison to the list published in 2004, PKN ORLEN surged by 352 positions, from 1,073 to 721.
In the Oil & Gas category, which is led by ExxonMobil of the US, PKN ORLEN improved by 4 positions, from 59 in 2004 to 55. In comparison to PKN ORLEN’s regional peers, Hungary’s MOL was ranked 46 and OMV of Austria 35 . The other regional companies, Neste Oil, Tupras and Hellenic Petroleum were ranked 64, 74 and 90 respectively.
