Wireless web in Plock Old Town Square

Like the Old Towns of Krakow, Wroclaw, Poznan and Warsaw, visitors to The Old Town Square in Plock are being offered wireless access to the World Wide Web network. From today onwards residents, businessmen and tourists spending time in the Old Town area, the town’s main point of interest, can benefit from free of charge access to the web.

The area has been visibly labeled with relevant information displays in Polish and English languages. The project, provided in WLAN technology (wireless local-area network), was prepared and implemented by the IT Department of PKN ORLEN with active support from the City Hall of Plock. In order to reach the web via so called hot-spots one needs to meet standard hardware requirements typical for such connections.
