PKN ORLEN’s IR has been recognised as the best amongst Poland’s listed companies in the WarsawScan 2005 survey conducted by NBS Public Relations.
PKN ORLEN has been praised for the quality of its disclosure, reliability, transparency, and the accessibility of its IR staff.
Analysts and investors have also named their best Presidents & CEOs, of which Igor Chalupec of PKN ORLEN ranked second, after the CEO of Agora, the publisher of Poland’s largest daily. The President & CEO of PKN ORLEN was recognised for his work in improving the Group’s strategy, corporate development and communications.
- We are bound by the corporate governance principles which make us perform with the highest possible care and respect for all Company related groups. Communications, transparency and reliability are one of our corporate pillars – said Igor Chalupec.
The survey results also point to orlen.pl as the best IR website.
The companies included in the survey were assessed by 47 analysts and asset managers from Polish brokerage houses and asset management companies. Amongst those surveyed were the companies making up the WiG20 index (Warsaw Stock Exchange’s blue chip index) and the top 20 of the MIDWiG index (the index of the top companies by turnover).
Commenting on the survey’s results Dariusz Grebosz, the Head of IR said that “it is a great honour for the IR team and it will provide us with the motivation for further endeavour. The award is recognition of the accomplishments of everybody at PKN ORLEN who has worked hard to build good relations with the financial markets.”
The WarsawScan survey has been conducted on a regular basis since 2003. Its methodology is based on the WallSreetScan and CitiScan surveys performed by Citigate Dewe Rogerson.
