Fire incident at ORLEN

On the 31.07.2008, the Ethylene Unit II at the Plock petrochemical facilities caught fire. The unit was off process with no hydrocarbons in it, no casualties were reported and there is no threat to the surrounding area. The fire was immediately extinguished by the ORLEN Fire brigades. The cause of the fire is being detected by the special technical commission.
