PKN ORLEN tops the „2000 List”
PKN ORLEN has topped the „2000 List” ranking by Rzeczpospolita. The record-breaking financial results of 2007 enabled the corporation to defend its last year’s leading position.
The list ranked companies by financial results from unit and consolidated reports for 2007. The ranking also included companies owned by the PKN ORLEN Capital Group: ORLEN Petrocentrum, Grupa Basell Orlen Polyolefins, Anwil Nitrogen, ORLEN Petrotank, Rafineria Trzebinia,ORLEN Gaz, Petrolot, ORLEN Petroprofit, ORLEN Asfalt, ORLEN Oil, ORLEN Morena, ORLEN Petrozachód, Rafineria Nafty Jedlicze, IKS Solino, ORLEN KolTrans, ORLEN Projekt, ORLEN Transport Płock.
Twelve companies of the ORLEN Group made the top 500 of the ranking.
Companies that made the “2000 List”, including our Corporation, were also sub-ranked by industry and economic indicators. PKN ORLEN took 3rd place in the Top Profit 2007 category reporting a 20% increase in net profit compared to last year. In the Employment Efficiency category, 1st place went to ORLEN Petrocentrum, with ORLEN Morena ranking 30th in this category.
The „2000 List” ranks companies by financial records and questionnaires covering the following information: sales revenue, net operating results, asset value, depreciation, equity, investments, ROE and employment.
The „2000 List” exists since 2002, with PKN ORLEN consistently ranking in the top spots. We have also maintained our leadership position in the “500 List of largest companies in Poland” for 9 consecutive years.
