New CEO of ANWIL
At the meeting today, the Supervisory Board of ANWIL, a PKN ORLEN company, appointed Mr Maciej Trojnarski as the new CEO and President of the company. He will take up the post today. The Supervisory Board decided that Ms Teresa Szeligowska, currently acting as CEO, would continue her work as Deputy CEO and Chief Financial and Economic Officer.
Appointments made by the Supervisory Board have ended the competition for the position of the Company’s CEO, which was opened last year. The recruitment and selection procedure involved close co-operation with an established third-party advisor.
“We have devoted several months to analysing a number of candidates recommended by the advisor, because we have strived to find a person whose qualifications would guarantee the Company’s growth in the current economic environment. We are convinced we have made the best choice possible as the new CEO brings several assets to the Company including – managerial maturity, thorough knowledge of the industry, broad expertise, and a fresh look” said Mr Marek Serafin, the President of the Supervisory Board of ANWIL and a Board Member of ORLEN.
Mr Maciej Trojnarski is a lawyer. He has been employed with Wavin, a Dutch company, since 1992. His professional experience lies in international trade, the automotive industry and processing of plastic
