On March 6, 2004 PKN ORLEN donated an automatic external defibrillator to the Salt Mines Museum in Wieliczka, Poland. It can be used by any bystander at an accident to provide emergency aid. This is the first time in Poland that such a device has been made available to the public.
PKN ORLEN has been awarded The Polish Green Apple Environmental Awards 2003, in the fuel & energy category, by The Green Organisation for efforts to preserve and protect the environment.
