Time of success

For PKN Orlen, 2003 was a time of strenuous work, bold undertakings and investment projects which brought the expected results. The most evident manifestation of the effects of these actions is the fact that the Company is a source of material revenue to the State Budget and one of the most profitable companies on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, which is attested to by the growth of PKN Orlen's share price by nearly 57% over the whole year.

PKN ORLEN's 2001 Annual Report Wins Award

PKN ORLEN's 2001 Annual Report has won the first prize for "The Best Financial Report of a Public and Non-Public Company in 2001". The awards were granted on 11th October 2002 at the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

PKN ORLEN to sell shares of LG Petro Bank

On 23rd September 2002 Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN signed an agreement with Nordea Bank Sweden AB (publ) ("Nordea") upon which Nordea wishes to purchase 4,450,708 shares of LG Petro Bank S.A. ("LG Petro Bank") from PKN ORLEN. The purchase of the above stake, which accounts for 19.9 per cent of the initial capital of LG Petro Bank, shall be realised through a public call / summon.

The EGM of PKN ORLEN approved the financial statements of the Capital Group

The Extraordinary General Shareholders Meeting of PKN ORLEN approved the financial statements of the Capital Group. At today's Extraordinary General Shareholders Meeting, the shareholders of PKN ORLEN approved the Directors' Report on the activities of the Capital Group and the Capital Group's consolidated financial statements for the 2001 fiscal year. Moreover, the shareholders approved the planned lease or disposal of some parts of the Company's business.
