President of UOKiK to consider PKN ORLEN’s application for the acquisition of PGNiG

​The European Commission decided that PKN ORLEN’s application for the acquisition of PGNiG would be considered by the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK). The decision follows from the fact that the planned concentration will not have any significant impact on competition outside Poland, and the President of UOKiK was selected as the most competent authority to assess its impact on the Polish market.

ORLEN Południe invests in agricultural biogas plants

ORLEN Południe, a company of the ORLEN Group, has purchased two plots of land in Głąbowo, in the municipality of Ryn, taking over an agricultural biogas plant project started on the property. PKN ORLEN: another phase of preparations for offshore wind farm project

The Company has commenced onshore geological surveys along the connection route for its planned offshore wind farm. The work will help delineate an underground cable route to evacuate power from the offshore farm to an onshore power station. The measurements will be performed in the municipality of Choczewo, where the transmission infrastructure will be built.
