PKN ORLEN has been awarded the title of an Ambassador of the Polish Economy in the “European Brand” category in the second edition of a competition organized by the Business Centre Club under the honorary patronage of the Minister of Foreign Affairs. The organizers have deemed ORLEN a company promoting Poland on the international arena as a reliable economic partner. The company has also contributed to the economic growth of the country and builds confidence towards Poland and its inhabitants.

Jacek Krawiec, President of the Board of PKN ORLEN opened the 2010 Global Refining Summit in Rotterdam – an international meeting venue for the refining sector. In his speech concerning the results of the global economic crisis and its impact on the refining sector, Mr. Krawiec pointed out the effects of the changing demand and supply dynamics, and presented prospects for the future.

PKN ORLEN has won title of the best managed Polish company according to the "Best Managed Companies in CEE 2010" ranking organised by the British financial magazine Euromoney.

VERVA Racing Team at the starting line!!!

The first Polish racing team in motor sports history, created by PKN ORLEN S.A., is set to compete with teams from all over the world in the legendary Porsche Supercup, which is held immediately before Formula 1 races. The VERVA Racing Team will make its debut on 12 March on the International Circuit in Bahrain!

Last Saturday, on 10.10.2009, Porsche in co-operation with PKN ORLEN conducted a test drive of its latest model – Panamera. The cars tested in Poznań (Poland) under the Porsche Driving Experience project were all powered by VERVA – the premium fuel distributed by ORLEN in Poland, Czech Republic and Lithuania.

Today, Monday 3rd August, PKN ORLEN and the Polish Volleyball Association have signed a Letter of Intent regarding lead sponsorship of the Women’s European Volleyball Championship 2009 to be held in September in Poland. ("PKN ORLEN") informs that on 20 December 2007, as donor, and Gmina Plock District, as donee, signed a contract of donation regarding shares (“Contract”) in Wisla Plock a joint stock company, headquartered in Plock, Poland (“Wisla Plock”) and a contract of donation regarding the Kazimierz Gorski stadium.
