Microsoft teams up with ORLEN Skylight accelerator as its technology partner

PKN ORLEN has signed an agreement marking the beginning of a collaboration between the ORLEN Skylight accelerator and Microsoft Founders Hub 101. The alliance will enable startups participating in the accelerator programme run by PKN ORLEN to receive free access to numerous Microsoft tools and resources, including Microsoft Cloud and GitHub. The collaboration also includes support from Microsoft experts and specialists.

ORLEN Group contemplating investments in Lithuania’s energy sector

In line with its strategy, the ORLEN Group is investing in Lithuanian assets to reinforce the market position of ORLEN Lietuva, its strategic subsidiary operating the Baltic Sea region’s only refinery, which already runs on crude oil sourced fully outside of Russia. During his meeting with Ingrida Šimonytė, Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania, the PKN ORLEN CEO Daniel Obajtek presented the Group’s key strategic objectives the delivery of which would strengthen the economies of both countries and, first and foremost, enhance the energy security of this part of Europe. The talks revolved mainly around further expansion of the refinery in Mažeikiai and the Group’s plans to invest in wind power, hydrogen and small modular reactors.

ORLEN Group to double the number of its service stations in Slovakia

ORLEN Group is going to add 25 new locations to its network of service stations in Slovakia. As a result of the agreement signed by PKN ORLEN, the Company will own a total of 47 stations and will reinforce its position among fuel retailers in this market. The new stations will be located throughout Slovakia, including in Bratislava and Košice, which will help to further build recognition of the ORLEN brand.
