PKN ORLEN continues to invest in petrochemicals business

​As part of a programme to expand phenol production capacities at its plant in Płock, PKN ORLEN has purchased a licence and basic engineering design package for an isopropanol unit. If the project receives a go-ahead, PKN ORLEN will be the world’s fifth company to implement this innovative technology.

PKN ORLEN has sent sanitiser liquids to Italy

​PKN ORLEN has provided the Vatican and the Office of Papal Charities with protective products necessary to combat the coronavirus pandemic. The supplies will be donated to those most needy, who are under the direct care of Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, the Papal Almoner. The efforts have been coordinated by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland to the Holy See.

PKN ORLEN makes travelling with electric cars easier

PKN ORLEN is expanding its service station network with a view to increasing the availability of alternative fuels. Four new fast EV charging stations have been added to the network, with more to follow soon. ORLEN Charge is also available, which is an app designed to help electric car owners to plan journey and travel. ORLEN Charge enables users to quickly and conveniently locate the nearest charging station and check connector availability.

ORLEN Group to double the number of service stations in Slovakia

​The ORLEN Group plans to further expand and develop its retail chain in Slovakia this year. Having closed last year with ten service stations on that market, it intends to double this number in 2020. Its newest site has just been opened in Ružomberok. The ORLEN Group is also developing its food and store format in Slovakia, with another seven Stop Cafes planned to launch in the coming months.

The refinery is now one of the pillars of the ORLEN Group, generating profits and significantly enhancing energy security in the region. It also forms part of the Group’s integrated production chain.
