Final round of ORLEN retail bond programme

PKN ORLEN is launching its sixth and last issue of debt securities, addressed to retail investors and worth PLN 100m, thus finalising its PLN 1bn retail bond programme. The Series F bonds are issued on different terms than the previous series – they offer a higher, fixed rate of return and have longer maturity.

Fifth series of PKN ORLEN retail bonds already on sale

PKN ORLEN has launched the fifth issue of its debt securities, addressed to retail investors and worth PLN 200m. The decision to issue Series E bonds was made based on market research, investor activity on the Catalyst market, and the huge interest generated by the first four series of PKN ORLEN bonds.

Increase in supply of crude oil to the Czech Republic

PKN ORLEN has signed an annex to a long-term contract for the supply of crude oil to the Czech Republic. The transaction is connected with Unipetrol's purchase of 16.335% of the shares in Česká Rafinérská from Shell, which was effected last year.

PKN ORLEN Management Board reappointed for another term of office

The PKN ORLEN Supervisory Board has reappointed Jacek Krawiec, the Company’s CEO since 2008, as President of the Management Board. The new three-year term of office will begin on the day following the Annual General Meeting which approves the financial statements for 2013.

ORLEN signs new gas supply agreements

PKN ORLEN has signed purchase agreements for natural gas with six suppliers: ENOI SpA, RWE Supply & Trading GmbH, VITOL SA, Vattenfall Energy Trading GmbH, Mercuria Energy Trading SA and PGNiG Sales & Trading GmbH. The new agreements will supplement the Company’s current supply portfolio.

Expiry of Whirlwind contract

Today, PKN ORLEN repurchased from Whirlwind a pool of mandatory oil reserves sold to the company in December 2012. The transaction value of approximately USD 400m, including settlement of the forward contract hedging the purchase price of the oil, is close to the amount of proceeds received from its sale a year ago.

Court in Prague dismisses petition by Agrofert Holding

A court in Prague has dismissed a petition by Agrofert Holding for the reversal of the Arbitration Court's decision of October 21st 2010 on the payment of CZK 19,464,473,000 in damages for losses incurred as a result of unfair competition, unlawful injury of the Czech company's reputation, and default on the contracts executed by the companies in 2003–2004.
