As one of 62 world companies, PKN ORLEN joined a move to fight corruption and bribery during the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The support statement to the principles of The Partnering Against Corruption Initiative was signed by the president and CEO of PKN ORLEN Igor Chalupec.

Manuscript of the cis-moll etude by Frederic Chopin arrives in Poland

Thanks to an initiative of the Ministry of Culture, PKN ORLEN S.A. and PKO BP, a working manuscript of the cis-moll op. 10 nr 4 etude by Frederik Chopin returns to the composer's native land. The 173 year old manuscript was bought at an auction at Sotheby's in London. It has today been ceremonially transferred by the benefactors to the Frederik Chopin Museum in Ostrogskis Palace in Warsaw.

Crude supplies to PKN ORLEN secured

PKN ORLEN is continuously monitoring how the situation at Yukos might affect the security of crude supplies to its refinery. On 19 January 2005 PKN ORLEN received a letter from the Swiss-based Petroval, which notified of a halt to crude supplies contracted with PKN ORLEN as of 21 December 2002.

EUROPRODUKT award for modified bitumen

ORBION – modified bitumen produced by ORLEN Asfalt, a PKN ORLEN subsidiary, has been named as a EUROPRODUKT in a contest organized by the Polish Trade Society. Wojciech Hetkowski, President of ORLEN Asfalt, has received the award from the representatives of Polish Trade Society and The Ministry of Economy and Labour.

PKN ORLEN ceases sales of U-95 unleaded petrol

PKN ORLEN would like to inform that, as of 1st January 2005, it has ceased distribution of Universal U-95 unleaded petrol across its retail network in Poland.
