Cooperation agreement between ORLEN Projekt and Energa Invest

​ORLEN Project has signed a letter of intent to enter into cooperation with Energa Invest. The two project companies, operating within Poland’s largest corporate groups, have declared their intention to mutually leverage each other’s potential.

PKN ORLEN implements innovation

​PKN ORLEN is actively involved in collaborative projects with Polish start-ups with a view to acquiring innovative technologies. Thanks to its participation in Pilot Maker Electro ScaleUp, an acceleration programme run under an agreement of September 2018 with techBrainers, PKN ORLEN is commencing tests of a solution designed to optimise the charging of electric vehicles.

ORLEN invests to enhance security of electricity and heat supplies to Płock

​Uninterrupted and reliable supplies of electricity and heat to the refinery in Płock as well as external customers, including the municipality, are a major benefit of PKN ORLEN’s project to build a more efficient TG1 turbine generator set at its Płock CHP plant. The technology provider and turnkey contractor will be GE Power.

​ORLEN Serwis has closed a transaction to purchase shares in UAB EMAS of Lithuania, thus becoming its sole owner. Consolidation of the companies will help optimise costs and expenditures incurred on maintenance across the ORLEN Group. ANWIL begins construction of new fertilizer units

​The ORLEN Group’s ANWIL has commenced construction of two out of three planned nitrogen fertilizer units. The project, with a total budget of ca. PLN 1.3bn, will increase ANWIL’s production capacity by approximately 50% in mid-2022, allowing it to meet demand for high quality products from Polish farmers. The project is also an important step towards reducing fertilizer imports.

PKN ORLEN builds advanced research and development centre in Płock

​The Research and Development Centre is a key investment project to be implemented as part of PKN ORLEN’s strategic Petrochemicals Development Programme. The R&D Centre, to be based in Płock, will enable the Company to develop and implement proprietary technologies. As part of its activities, the Centre will carry out tests aimed at streamlining technological processes, enhancing products and optimising costs. The Centre will also serve as a modern platform for cooperation between PKN ORLEN and the world of science and business.
