World Expo 2020 offers a unique opportunity to promote Poland globally. The event brings together representatives of over 190 countries and organisations and close to 2,500 Polish companies. PKN ORLEN is Strategic Partner of the Polish Pavilion and patron of the Chopin at Expo 2020 project.

In Dubai, PKN ORLEN will promote the strong Polish economy and the works of Fryderyk Chopin. The works of the most outstanding Polish composer are highly appreciated by audiences in the Persian Gulf region. A special Chopin concert will be held as part of the Chopin at Expo 2020 project to celebrate Poland’s Independence Day on November 11th.

World Expo Dubai is one of the most important economic events of the year and a great opportunity to promote Poland and showcase the potential of Polish companies. PKN ORLEN is the largest Polish company and the leader of energy transition in Central Europe. More than half of its revenue is generated on international markets. We are consistently strengthening our global recognition, also in the Arab world. PKN ORLEN is patron of the Chopin at Expo 2020 project, as part of which a Chopin’s music concert will be held at Dubai Millennium Amphitheatre. This unique event will provide an excellent opportunity to promote the positive image of Poland globally, said Daniel Obajtek, President of the PKN ORLEN Management Board.

During the concert, Expo 2020 participants will enjoy Fryderyk Chopin’s compositions performed by Martín García García, winner of the third prize at the 18th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition. PKN ORLEN is patron of the competition, and the company has also supported the activities of the Fryderyk Chopin Institute for many years.

The Spanish pianist will be accompanied by the National Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Andrzej Boreyko. The concert will also feature pieces by Stanisław Moniuszko and Mieczysław Karłowicz.

The Chopin at Expo 2020 project includes daily small Chopin recitals held at the Polish Pavilion, featuring young Polish pianists performing the greatest works of Fryderyk Chopin three times a day. Over 120 such concerts have been performed since the opening of the exhibition.

Also, PKN ORLEN will attend two major Expo 2020 economic events, namely the Polish-Arab Forum and the Polish-African Economic Forum.

The World Expo will run until March 31st 2022. The Polish Pavilion at Expo 2020 is organised by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency.
