Today, the Supervisory Board of PKN ORLEN S.A. appointed the President, Vice-President and three Members of the Management Board of a new term of office.

The Supervisory Board of PKN ORLEN has appointed new members of the Management Board for the 2011–2014 term of office. For the first time in the Company’s history, the Board’s president has been reappointed. The position will again be held by Jacek Krawiec, who has been the Company’s CEO since 2008. Other Management Board members to remain in office are Sławomir Jędrzejczyk, Vice-President of the Management Board, and Krystian Pater and Marek Serafin, Members of the Management Board. A new member to serve on the Board is Grażyna Piotrowska-Oliwa.

ORLEN has contracted sales of fuels for more than pln 33 billion

The ORLEN Group has completed the major part of the contracting process related to wholesale supplies of fuels in 2011. The Company's products will be supplied by land and sea to markets in Western, Central and Eastern Europe. The value of the contracts exceeds PLN 33bn, including over 16bn worth of contracts executed by the Parent Undertaking.

Evolution of the Mental Picture of Tight Shales

At the end of March, researchers from all over the world are going to meet at a conference devoted to shale gas which is to be held at the Copernicus Science Centre. The conference is organized by ORLEN Upstream, Energy and Geoscience Institute – University of Utah and Schlumberger Innovation Center, SLC, USA. The participants will discuss the scientific and technical aspects of the issue, which are key to forecasting how Poland will diversify its energy sources in the future.
