ORLEN Tops the Ranking of Poland's Most Valuable Brands

PKN ORLEN has won this year's Ranking of the Most Valuable Polish Brands, published by the Rzeczpospolita daily. For the fourth consecutive time, ORLEN has been valued the highest of all Polish brands. BLISKA - the brand of PKN ORLEN's low-cost service stations - has reached the 16th position in the Ranking.

ORLEN Deutschland Secures Approval

The German Federal Cartel Office has formally approved ORLEN Deutschland's acquisition from OMV of 56 service stations located in Thuringia and Saxony.

ORLEN petrol stations named Tourist Favourites

Service stations run by PKN ORLEN have been awarded the “Crown of Tourism 2010” title, as the most popular choice among tourists. The purpose of the award, organized by the Polska Wita magazine, is to showcase the brands, places and regions which enjoy the widest popularity with tourists.

ORLEN Deutschland purchased 56 stations from OMV Deutschland

Today, ORLEN Deutschland GmbH and OMV Deutschland GmbH have signed an agreement for ORLEN's purchase of 56 service stations of OMV's network, located in Thuringia and Saxony. Thus the German member company of the ORLEN Group has entered the markets of further two federal states. Following the transaction, the ORLEN Deutschland network will comprise 574 service stations.

Ratings agency Moody’s Investor Service has upgraded PKN ORLEN’s financial standing, changing all the Company’s rating outlooks from negative to stable. The upgrade reflects the Company’s consistently strong operating performance and improved financial position.

PKN ORLEN launches new production unit for top quality diesel oil

Thanks to the newly launched VII Diesel Oil Hydrorefinining unit, PKN ORLEN's Main Plant in Płock will be able to deliver greener and higher-performance diesel oils. The unit will also contribute to increasing the market supply of diesel oils.

Good operating results in the face of continued macroeconomic challenges

For Q3 2010, PKN ORLEN reported its best operating profit since the beginning of 2009 (LIFO method). PKN ORLEN has also recorded the highest aggregate sales volumes in over a year and a half; and, increased the utilisation of its production capacities at all of the Group's refineries. Consequently, PKN ORLEN posted robust net earnings and improved the financial ratios.
