International award for PKN ORLEN Investor Relations

International periodical IR Magazine second year in a row awarded PKN ORLEN with the title of „Best investor relations by a Polish company 2010”. In the opinion of over 700 International Capital Market representatives, which participated in the survey organized by IR Magazine, the Company has the best-managed investor relations on the Polish market. An announcement of this year’s results and awards ceremony took place at a gala dinner in London.

ORLEN an Ambassador of the Polish Economy

PKN ORLEN has been awarded the title of an Ambassador of the Polish Economy in the “European Brand” category in the second edition of a competition organized by the Business Centre Club under the honorary patronage of the Minister of Foreign Affairs. The organizers have deemed ORLEN a company promoting Poland on the international arena as a reliable economic partner. The company has also contributed to the economic growth of the country and builds confidence towards Poland and its inhabitants.

PKN ORLEN at the 2010 Global Refining Summit

Jacek Krawiec, President of the Board of PKN ORLEN opened the 2010 Global Refining Summit in Rotterdam – an international meeting venue for the refining sector. In his speech concerning the results of the global economic crisis and its impact on the refining sector, Mr. Krawiec pointed out the effects of the changing demand and supply dynamics, and presented prospects for the future.

PKN ORLEN – consolidated financial results for 1st quarter 2010

In the 1st quarter 2010 PKN ORLEN reported EBIT operating profit of 464 million PLN. It was 784 million PLN higher than the one obtained in the similar period last year, when the Holding company reported a loss of 320 million PLN. The net result reached the level of 610 million PLN in comparison to the loss of 1 092 million PLN in the 1st quarter of 2009.

PKN ORLEN has won title of the best managed Polish company according to the "Best Managed Companies in CEE 2010" ranking organised by the British financial magazine Euromoney.

ORLEN - leader of the 'List of 500' ranking by “Polityka” weekly

PKN ORLEN was ranked first again on list of the largest Polish companies, published by "Polityka" weekly. Last year, the Group recorded sales revenue of PLN 47 billion.
