PKN ORLEN has been ranked 1st in the “Most Valuable Polish Brands” ranking - MARQA 2007 – which is organised by Rzeczpospolita, the Polish daily. BLISKA, ORLEN’s economy retail brand, was ranked 45th after only one year’s presence in the market.

"Christmas is coming" at ORLEN stations

Christmas is coming - a special CD recorded by Polish arists and journalists is already on sale at selected ORLEN stations and the EMPIK chain in Poland. The CD is a part of the Christmas campaign organised jointly by PKN ORLEN and Programme 3 of the Polish Radio. The money collected during the campaign will support Polish Family Children's Homes.

The ORLEN brand enters the Lithuanian and Latvian markets.

THE ORLEN BRAND ENTERS THE LITHUANIAN AND LATVIAN MARKETS Launching 120 owned-stations, gaining a 20% share in the consolidated Lithuanian-Latvian markets and launching the ORLEN Lietuva and ORLEN Latvija brands are the three pillars of PKN ORLEN’s retail strategy in the Baltic states. The premium brand will come with enhanced quality VERVA fuels, new standards in non-fuel products, and hospitality.

PKN ORLEN gets prepared for bio-fuels

PKN ORLEN has closed a tender for supplies of bio-ethanol for petroleum production in 2008. The final stage of the tender was performed at the web auction which secured full transparency of the procedure.

PKN ORLEN has obtained a concession to search for crude oil and gas fields

At the end of October 2007, the Polish Ministry of Environment approved all five applications submitted in June 2007 by PKN ORLEN to obtain a concession to search for and evaluate crude oil and gas fields in the area of Lublin (south-east Poland). Having analysed the project in detail, including the environmental impact of the undertaking, the Ministry has issued a five-year license to PKN ORLEN. PKN ORLEN’s submission followed the Management Board’s decision to partially secure crude supplies for its refineries from potential sources in Poland.

New CEO at Trzebinia Refinery

Today, the Supervisory Board of Trzebinia Refinery has removed Grazyna Kus from the position of the CEO of Trzebinia Refinery. Management of the company has been seconded to Jerzy Pazura, the Chairman of the Trzebinia’s Supervisory Board.
