PKN ORLEN has signed the agreement with Statoil Poland for the sales of fuels

Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN S.A. (“PKN ORLEN”) hereby informs that on 4 January 2011 it signed one-year agreement with Statoil Poland Sp. z o.o. (“Statoil Poland”), member of the Statoil group. The agreement was signed for the sales of gasoline, diesel and heating oil by PKN ORLEN to Statoil Poland in the period between 1 January 2011 to 31 December 2011. The total estimated net value of the agreement amounts to PLN 783 m.

The total value of agreements signed between PKN ORLEN and companies from the Statoil group in the period from 12 January 2010 to 4 January 2011 amounts to approximately PLN 2 014 m.

The total value of agreements signed between PKN ORLEN subsidiaries and companies from the Statoil group in the period from 12 January 2010 to 4 January 2011 amounts to approximately PLN 1 050 m.

The agreements between PKN ORLEN and PKN ORLEN subsidiaries and companies from the Statoil group were signed for the sales of products and crude oil.

In accordance with the “Regulation of the Minister of Finance dated 19 February 2009 on current and periodic information to be published by issuers of securities and on the conditions under which such information may be recognized as being equivalent to information required by the regulations of law of a state which is not a member state” the abovementioned agreements constitute a “significant agreement” due to the fact that their total value exceeds 10% of PKN ORLEN’s equity.
