The Canadian Competition Commissioner approved the acquisition of Birchill Exploration LP by TriOil Resourced Ltd

Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN Spolka Akcyjna ("PKN ORLEN") informs that on 22 May 2014 the Advance Ruling Certificate has been issued by the Canadian Competition Commissioner confirming that the Commissioner is satisfied with the terms of the planned acquisition by TriOil Resources Ltd ("TriOil") of 100% of shares in companies owning Birchill Exploration LP ("Birchill”). This positive decision of the Commissioner allows to close the transaction within next 14 days.

Birchill is based in Calgary, limited partnership engaged in the exploration, development and production of petroleum and natural gas in Alberta, Canada.

PKN ORLEN owns 100% of the registered capital of ORLEN Upstream Sp. z o.o. ORLEN Upstream Sp. z o.o. owns 100% of the registered capital of ORLEN Upstream International B.V. ORLEN Upstream International B.V. owns 100% of the outstanding share capital of TriOil.
