OUR INTERNS

Wojciech

“I came to ORLEN immediately after graduation because it was one of very few companies in Poland to offer an opportunity to start a career in the power sector, which proved surprisingly hermetic.

The ‘Headed for ORLEN’ programme gives me invaluable experience and lots of hands-on learning, really uncomparable with my previous student internships. It has opened the door to my further professional advancement because after three months I was offered a job.”

Wojciech, Junior Production Process Operator at the Boiler Unit of the CHP plant, graduate of Power Engineering at the Wrocław University of Technology

Jakub

„During the internship, I learned how to prepare power generation projects in an international environment. Besides gaining working knowledge of engineering, I learned to take responsibility for what I do and be self-sufficient at work.

I got the chance to work on strategic projects, which makes me feel that what I do matters. Now, I am involved in supervision and support of project teams in key power generation projects in the Czech Republic and Lithuania.”

Jakub, Junior Specialist in the Power Generation Engineering Inspection Team of the ORLEN Group, graduate of Electrical Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology

Internship Programmes

  • Headed for ORLEN
  • Energy for the Future
  • Energy in Business
This internship programme is addressed to senior students (4th and 5th year) and graduates of engineering or economics studies.
We are a partner of the project run by the Ministry of Energy to introduce university students to working in Poland’s key energy companies participating in the initiative, namely PKN ORLEN, PGE, and PGNiG. For details of the project, including the application form and rules, go to www.me.gov.pl and click on the ‘Energetyka’ section.
Energy in Business is an internship in the B2B electricity sales team.
Under agreements with universities, college and secondary technical school students are offered work placements in the Petrochemical and Refining Plant and the CHP plant in Płock.
Students writing their Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis or graduation paper on PKN ORLEN are invited to submit a completed and signed application. Please be advised that we need about one month to make a decision whether to make the requested materials available.

Education

  • ORLEN Knowledge Day
  • ABC of Career Guidance
ORLEN Knowledge Day is an educational project in the form of series of workshops and lectures presenting how theoretical knowledge gained at school or university is put into practice. It offers an opportunity to learn about the solutions applied, existing market practices, and innovations at PKN ORLEN S.A.
We regularly conduct career guidance workshops for students entering the job market. The meetings are held several times a year at secondary schools and colleges in Płock.
