Marcin Wasilewski

Vice-President of the Management Board, Development and Investments

Vice President of the Management Board of ORLEN S.A., responsible for the development and energy transition of the ORLEN Group, with a particular focus on low- and zero-emission projects and the implementation of innovative technologies that support long-term competitiveness and a sustainable business model.

An experienced manager with many years of experience in the industrial and energy sectors. He specializes in the implementation of complex investment projects and the development of new business segments.

From 2022 to 2024, he served as President of InnoEnergy Polska and as a member of the Executive Board of EIT InnoEnergy in the Netherlands, one of Europe’s leading platforms supporting innovation in the field of energy transition. Previously, as Vice President at ABB Polska, he was responsible for business development in the energy and heavy industry sectors across Central and Eastern Europe.

From 2006 to 2018, he was with the ORLEN Group, where, as Executive Director for Energy, he helped shape the Group’s energy strategy and was responsible for building the energy segment from the ground up. He oversaw the implementation of key investments, including the first CCGT units. He also initiated the development of projects in the areas of offshore wind energy and electromobility.

Since 2018, he has been a member of the Polish Committee of the World Energy Council. He graduated from Florida Atlantic University, the University of Bradford (MBA), the Warsaw University of Technology (postgraduate studies in gas turbines), and the General Management Program (GMP) at Harvard University.
