PGNiG: Conclusion of agreements setting out the basic conditions of annexes to the LNG supply contract with Venture Global Plaquemines LNG, LLC and Venture Global Calcasieu Pass, LLC

Further to Current Report No. 50/2018 of October 16th 2018 and to Current Report No. 25/2019 of 12th June 2019, the Management Board of Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo S.A. (“PGNiG”, the “Company”) announces that on July 16th 2021 the agreements setting out the basic conditions of annexes to the liquefied natural gas (“LNG”) supply contracts were signed by the Company with Venture Global Plaquemines LNG, LLC and Venture Global Calcasieu Pass, LLC (“Agreements”).
Potential signing of the annexes will cause increase in the volume of LNG supplies to PGNiG by a total of 2 million tonnes of LNG per year from planned liquefaction facilities:

  • Calcasieu Pass LNG in Calcasieu Parish – increase in the deliveries from 1 to 1.5 million tonnes of LNG per year (i.e. approximately 2.0 bcm of natural gas after regasification) for 20 years;
  • Plaquemines LNG in Plaquemines Parish – increase in the deliveries from 2.5 to 4.0 million tonnes of LNG per year (i.e. approximately 5.4 bcm of natural gas after regasification) for 20 years.
    The signed Agreements do not constitute PGNiG’s obligation to sign the aforementioned annexes to LNG supply contracts.

The announcement of information on conclusion of Agreements specifying the basic conditions of annexes to LNG supply contracts with Venture Global Plaquemines LNG, LLC and Venture Global Calcasieu Pass, LLC was delayed on July 16th 2021 until today pursuant to Article 17(4) of Regulation (EU) No. 596/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 16th 2014 on market abuse and repealing Directive 2003/6/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council and Commission Directives 2003/124/EC, 2003/125/EC and 2004/72/EC.
