The number of employees in PKN ORLEN reduced

Under Art. 81 par. 1, item 2 of the Law on Public Trading of Securities dated 21 August, 1997 (Official Journal of Bills No 118, item 754 with the later amendments) The Management Board of Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN S.A. informs that due to the restructuring process in the company the number of employees in PKN ORLEN S.A. reduced from 10 501 persons as of January 1st, 2000 to 9 975 persons as of June 1st, 2000. Currently there are 375 job contracts undergoing cancellation. It is assumed that under the restructuring, which among others includes employment in the span-off companies, early retirement and dismissals the number of employees in PKN ORLEN S.A. will be 8 700 persons as of July 1st, 2000.
