The line 12 of the Polyethylene Plant II destroyed by explosion and fire resumed

Under Art. 81 par.1of the Law on Public Trading of Securities dated 21 August, 1997 (Official Journal of Bills No 118, item 754 with the later amendments) the Management Board of Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN S.A. informs that line 12 of the Polyethylene Plant II destroyed by explosion and fire on 18th August 1999 was resumed on July 10th, 2000. The reconstructed line started operating and producing polyethylene at 6.45 p.m. on July 10th, 2000. Due to the above, polyethylene production in PKN ORLEN S.A. will increase by 6.5 tons per hour, which in a year perspective will raise the production volume by 50 thousand tons. The aggregate nominal capacity of polyethylene production in PKN ORLEN S.A. (including Line 12) was reconstructed and equals 150 thousand tons per year.
