Mr Janusz Wojcik has resigned from the function as a member of the Supervisory Board of PKN ORLEN

Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN S.A., Central Europe's largest downstream oil company, announces today that on December 15, 2000 the Company was notified that Mr Janusz Wojcik tendered to the General Assembly of Shareholders of PKN ORLEN S.A. his resignation as a member of the Supervisory Board of PKN ORLEN S.A.

Mr Janusz Wojcik is a member of the Management Board of Niezalezny Operator Miedzystrefowy Sp. z o.o (an affiliate company of PKN ORLEN S.A.) and therefore this resignation is made to comply with the new Commercial Code to come into force on January 1, 2001.
