PKN ORLEN has signed up for shares issued by POLKOMTEL S.A.

Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN S.A., Central Europe's largest downstream oil company, announces today that having exercised the pre-emption right, the Company has signed up for 1,078,550 (one million seventy eight thousand five hundred and fifty) registered shares of "J" series as issued by POLKOMTEL S.A. The figure quoted is proportional to PKN ORLEN's 19.61 per cent stake in POLKOMTEL S.A. PKN ORLEN S.A. has already paid an amount of PLN 26,963,750 (twenty six million nine hundred sixty three thousand seven hundred and fifty) for these shares which represents 25 per cent of the total consideration.
