Appointment of M.Mroczkowski to the position of CEO at Polkomtel

(“PKN ORLEN”), Central Europe’s largest downstream oil company, announces today that on 27 June 2001 the Supervisory Board of Polkomtel S.A. appointed Mr Marek Mroczkowski to the position of the President of the newly appointed Management Board of Polkomtel S.A.
