The Bank of New York holds operations

Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN Spolka Akcyjna ("PKN ORLEN"), Central Europe's largest downstream oil company, informs that on 12th September 2001 The Bank of New York, the Depositary of Global Depositary Receipts informed PKN ORLEN that due to closing all GDR markets, caused by yesterday’s tragic events in New York, The Bank of New York will neither issue nor cancel the depositary receipts until it is recalled. At the same time, The Bank of New York informed that a disaster recovery plan has been implemented and management are in control of the situation.
