Appointment of A.Tuszczynski to the Supervisory Board

Change in PKN ORLEN’s Supervisory Board

Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN Spolka Akcyjna (“PKN ORLEN”), Central Europe's largest downstream oil company, hereby announces that The Polish State Treasury, on September 19, 2001 appointed Mr Andrzej Tuszczynski a member of the Supervisory Board of PKN ORLEN. The appointment was made according to the Company’s Statutes, under § 8, item 2, point 1.

Mr Andrzej Tuszczynski replaces Mr Jaroslaw Cholodecki. Mr Andrzej Tuszczynski was born on February 16, 1944 in Zwierzyniec. He has a degree in economics from the University of Warsaw. He holds the position of a head specialist at The Polish State Treasury. Previously he worked as a Marketing Director at the Financial Management S.A. In 1992 - 1998 he held managing positions in a number of banks in Poland. Mr Andrzej Tuszczynski started his business carrier in 1971.

The number of PKN ORLEN’s Supervisory Board members remains unchanged and comprises of 9 persons.
