Approval for the development programme of petrochemical plant
The Supervisory Board of PKN ORLEN SA approves the Company Management Board’s development programme of petrochemical plant
Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN Spolka Akcyjna ("PKN ORLEN"), Central Europe's largest downstream oil company, announces today that on September 24, 2001 the Supervisory Board of PKN ORLEN passed a resolution concerning the development programme of the Company’s petrochemical plant.
The completion of the approved investments will allow: increased ethylene production from 360,000 tonnes per annum to 660,000 tonnes per annum; increased propylene production from 240,000 tonnes per annum to 445,000 tonnes per annum; (see PKN ORLEN’s release dated June 28, 2001) The development programme will commence in 4Q 2001 and complete in 3Q 2004. Total expenditure planned for the development of the petrochemical plant in Plock is approximately PLN 750 m.
