Suspension of proceedings against Rafineria Trzebinia

Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN S.A. (“PKN ORLEN”), Central Europe’s largest downstream oil company, hereby advises that following Rafineria Trzebinia's appeal on 25 January 2002, the Chrzanow Tax Office has temporarily suspended proceedings on charges of fiscal impropriety (total PLN 113.6m.), until the appeal that has been lodged with the Fiscal Office in Krakow has been considered (regulatory filing no 10/2002 dated 25 January 2002).
