Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN S.A. (“PKN ORLEN”), Central Europe’s largest downstream oil company, announces that the number of its shares held by The Bank of New York decreased by 2.19% from 106,282,258 (25.29% of votes at the General Shareholders' Meeting as reported on February 6, 2002) to 97,077,976 shares (23.10% of votes at the General Shareholders' Meeting as of February 26, 2002).
