Stake purchase from Orbis

The Management Board of Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN S.A. (PKN ORLEN), Central Europe's largest downstream oil company, informs that on 24 October 2002, PKN ORLEN, Kulczyk Holding S.A. and Orbis S.A., further to the Initial Agreement of 20 September 2002, have agreed to extend their negotiations in respect of PKN ORLEN's acquisition of 9.218 per cent of AWSA Holland II BV. until 15th November 2002.
