The Number of shares held by the Bank of New York as of October 2, 2003 Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN S.A. („PKN ORLEN”), Central Europe’s largest downstream oil company, announces that the number of its shares held by the Bank of New York increased from 41,780,674 (9.94% of votes at the General Shareholders' Meeting as reported on 18 September, 2003) to 42,380,674 shares (10.09% of votes at the General Shareholders' Meeting as of October 2, 2003).
