Number of PKN ORLEN shares in possession of FMR Copr. and Fidelity International

Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN S.A. („PKN ORLEN”), Central Europe’s largest downstream oil company, announces that the number of its shares held by FMR Corp. and its direct and indirect subsidiaries and Fidelity International Limited and its direct and indirect subsidiaries decreased from 21 436 944 (5.01% of votes at the General Shareholders' Meeting as reported in regulatory announcement no 33/2005 dated May 25th, 2005) to 21 023 196 shares (4.92% of votes at the General Shareholders' Meeting as of January 19th, 2006 holding).
