Change in the date of publication of PKN ORLEN`s financial statement for the first half 2009 and resignation of publication of financial statement for the second quarter 2009

Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN S.A. (“PKN ORLEN”) hereby announces that, according to the Regulation of the Minister of Finance on current and periodic information to be published by issuers of securities and on the conditions under which such information may be recognized as being equivalent to information required by the regulations of law of a state which is not a member state (Journal of Laws 2009 No. 33, item 259) (“the Regulation”) which came into force, there has been a change in the date of publication of PKN ORLEN’s financial results for the first half of 2009. The report will be produced on 27 August 2009.

The originally announced publication date for the first half 2009 report was 24 September 2009.

Half-yearly condensed consolidated financial report and half-yearly condensed financial report of PKN ORLEN will be published as sections within the half-yearly consolidated financial report of PKN ORLEN Group.

Additionally, according to § 101 item 2 of the Regulation, the quarterly report for the second quarter 2009 will not be published. The originally announced publication date for the second quarter 2009 report was 13 August 2009.

In connection with the above, the date of publication of the estimation of selected operating data of PKN ORLEN for the second quarter 2009 has changed. The announcement will be produced on 6 August 2009.
