Opening of liquidation proceedings for UAB Remonto Mechanikos Centras

Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN S.A. ("PKN ORLEN") hereby announces that on 1 December 2009 at the Lithuanian Enterprise Centre of Registers in Vilnius there was submitted an application for opening of liquidation proceedings for AB ORLEN Lietuva subsidiary, UAB Remonto Mechanikos Centras headquartered in Juodeikiai, Lithuania („UAB Remonto Mechanikos Centras”). The decision regarding the liquidation was made by the sole shareholder of UAB Remonto Mechanikos Centras, i.e. AB ORLEN Lietuva, and Mr. Martinas Steponavičius has been appointed as the liquidator.

UAB Remonto Mechanikos Centras was registered by the Lithuanian Enterprise Centre of Registers on 2 March 2009. It was established in accordanace with realization of AB ORLEN Lietuva strategy, assuming outsourcing of non-core activities from AB ORLEN Lietuva.

The primary purpose of the UAB Remonto Mechanikos Centras should have been exercise of the activities providing the services of installation and maintenance of mechanical equipment. UAB Remonto Mechanikos Centras has not started its operating since its registration. After carrying out the economic analysys once again, AB ORLEN Lietuva decided to use maintenance services delivered by the external suppliers.

PKN ORLEN owns 100% of the shares in AB ORLEN Lietuva.
