PKN ORLEN S.A. informs that on 24 April 2019 at 22:36 it received from PERN SA. an information about suspension of crude oil deliveries via „Friendship” pipeline to the Production Unit in Płock. The reason of the suspension is the significant worsening of the crude oil quality at Adamowo Depot, where the crude oil is received from the East direction and next it is forwarded to Miszewko Strzałkowskie Depot, near Płock.
The above situation neither influence the level of crude oil throughput in the refinery in Płock nor the economics of the production. PKN ORLEN S.A. is prepared for alternative crude oil deliveries. For the last two years PKN ORLEN S.A. has consistently realized policy of crude oil deliveries diversification, thanks to which currently almost 50% of crude oil purchased to the Production Unit in Płock comes from the other directions than Russian one, ie. from Norway, Angola, Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.
Additionally, PKN ORLEN S.A. holds the crude oil inventories in the amount sufficient for continuing the production. As a result there is currently no risk of production limitation due to suspension of the raw material deliveries by „Friendship” pipeline.
Every significant changes in the issue will be published by the Company in the forthcoming regulatory announcements.
