Baltic East project offer won the auction for offshore wind farms

ORLEN S.A. (“ORLEN”, “Company”) informs that Baltic East project (“Project”) offer won the auction, conducted on 17 December 2025 by the President of the Energy Regulatory Office, for offshore wind farms (“Auction”). Wining the Auction is one of the principal determinants of realisation of the Project and enables taking further actions towards realization of ORLEN Group Strategy to 2035 goals.

The Baltic East Project assumes construction of an offshore wind farm in the area of Baltic Sea, with a power capacity of up to 900 MW. Currently the Project is in the stage of obtaining permits and securing financing.

In the Auction, the Baltic East Project won with an offer amounting to PLN 476,88/MWh.

As a result of winning the Auction the offshore wind farm, the construction of which is being prepared within the Baltic East Project will be covered by a support system of two-way contract for difference. The contract guarantees the coverage of the so-called negative balance for the electricity produced, ie. the difference between the market electricity price and the winning auction price. The difference contract will ensure a predictable revenue from the Project for 25 years from the start of commercial operation.

According to ORLEN Group Strategy to 2035, in further Project realization stages the Company assumes cooperation with business partner. In accordance with the planned schedule, the electricity production from Baltic East farm is expected to start in 2032.
