ORLEN powers ahead in electric mobility, to add 160 new fast-charging points in Germany
ORLEN commits to expanding its electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Under an cooperation signed with Bela (Bartels-Langness Handelsgesellschaft) in Germany, up to 160 new high-power ORLEN Charge points will be installed by the end of 2026. The fast chargers, offering capacities of up to 400 kW, will be located at prime sites, including Famila and Markant stores owned by Bela.
“Expanding the ORLEN Charge network in high-traffic areas reinforces our position as a provider of everyday charging infrastructure and delivers added value to both property owners and their customers. It also integrates e-mobility into consumer habits, supporting the transition to sustainable transport. Demand for electric vehicles is growing rapidly, with Europe already recording double-digit increases year on year. Our response to this trend is to provide convenient access to charging. By 2030 we aim to operate 1,150 fast charging points across 220 locations in Germany. The agreement with Bela marks an important step towards this ambitious goal,” says Krzysztof Kaczyński, Executive Director for Electric Mobility at ORLEN.
“With modern infrastructure, convenient locations and spacious car parks, the Famila and Markant stores offer ideal conditions for building a customer-focused, user-friendly charging network. We are proud to support the transition to sustainable mobility by expanding charging opportunities at our chain stores,” adds Christian Lahrtz, Managing Director of Famila and Markant.
This is the second such agreement signed by ORLEN Deutschland. In March 2025, the company entered into a partnership with May & Co. Holding, a specialist in commercial real estate management. As part of the agreement, ORLEN committed to installing more than 200 high-power charging points with capacities ranging from 150 to 400 kW within twelve months of the contract signing. All charging stations will be operated under the ORLEN Charge brand.
Additionally, in Elmshorn near Hamburg, ORLEN Deutschland is building its first charging hub in Germany, featuring 16 charging points with up to 400 kW of power. This facility is scheduled to be completed by the mid-2026.
At the same time, the ORLEN Charge network is dynamically expanding in Poland. Since November last year, customers have been able to use modern eight-station ORLEN Charge hubs with a capacity of up to 400 kW per connector, including those at the MOP Olsztynek Południe, in Szczecin, and in Gorzów Wielkopolski. According to the Group's 2035 Strategy, the ORLEN Charge network will be a leader in the public EV charging market in Poland.
