Eastern Horizons Festival in Ropienka
The Eastern Horizons Festival, supported by ORLEN’s PGNiG Branch in Sanok, featured a wide range of events designed for both local residents and tourists visiting the Bieszczady region.
The festival in Ropienka was organised to promote the local church, saved from demolition a few years ago, to showcase the village through cultural events, strengthen community integration, and provide residents with access to art and culture that are less readily available in the Bieszczady area. The festival programme included activities such as a family mountain rally, a classic motorcycle rally, various lectures, concerts, and theatre performances. Workshops were also held, including relaxation sessions, stained-glass making, and children’s classes on the history of the village. All events were offered free of charge to residents of Ropienka and visiting tourists. The location holds particular importance for the oil industry, as it is home to some of the oldest oil field facilities in the region.
